We Are Family

Dear Family,

It is my prayer that this letter finds you doing well and living your best life.

On May 4, 2024, our beloved grandmother, Claudette Neil, turned 85. Recognizing that such milestones are precious, I felt a deep desire to honor her in a way that reflects what she cherished most: her family and dancing. This inspired me to organize an evening filled with food, family, and fun—a celebration of life and love.

Unbeknownst to me, my grandmother would leave us before this union could happen. Yet, I remain committed to honoring my word and promise to bring the Pillow Family together.

It pains me deeply that the only time I see the majority of our family is at a loved one’s homegoing. When our mothers and grandmothers were with us, we gathered more often, sharing laughter, stories, and creating memories. Let’s come together once again to celebrate each other, to reunite, and to honor the matriarchs who have shaped our lives.

Let’s Celebrate—an event where we can reconnect, share our journeys, and create new memories. Let’s celebrate life, love, and the unbreakable bond that ties us together.

To make this a remarkable event, we are asking for $35 per household (not family), and we have t-shirts for purchase as well! Together, we can make it an unforgettable celebration of our family’s legacy.
